This safari involves visits to Kibale, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi National Parks where you will have the ultimate primates experience involving tracking of Chimpanzees and Gorillas.

On this tour you will meet a variety of other primates in Kibale National Park include Red-tailed Monkeys, black And White Colobus Monkeys, L'Hoest Monkeys, Vervet Monkeys, Olive Baboons, Blue Monkeys, and Grey Cheeked Mangabeys. You will also encounter elephants,lions, antelopes,warthogs,kobs, buffaloes, leopards, bush pigs, elephants, and duikers and different species of birds.

Route for Primates Safari.

DAY 01

Pick up from Entebbe to Kampala.

You will be picked up from Entebbe International Airport by our Company driver up to your hotel room in Kampala where you will rest from your long flight.

DAY 02

Transfer to Kibale National Park.

After your hotel early morning breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up to start a journey to Kibale Forest National Park. The journey takes about 5-6 hours and you will branch for lunch in Fort Portal and after continue with the journey to the Park with stunning views of the beautiful scenery, Rwenzori Mountain ranges, Lake George among others. Upon arriving into the Park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 03

Chimpanzee Trekking.

After your early morning breakfast in your third day Uganda Primate tour, you will meet up with your driver guide who will take you upto Kanyanchu visitors centre for a Chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing you will be divided into a group of six people and start trekking in the forest in search of habituated family.

During the trekking you will be able to view different wildlife species and mammals including elephants, buffalos and other primate species like red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkey, blue monkeys, and grey checked baboons. After the one hour trekking, you will meet up with your driver guide and go back to the lodge for lunch.

Bigodi Swamp
After lunch you will go for an amazing nature walk at Bigodi swamp where you will be able to view different bird species like the great blue turaco, view mamals like bush backs, sitatunga, primates like I’hoest, black and white colobus. After the nature walk, you will be taken back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 04

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After your early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is the second largest National Park in Uganda. On the way you will enjoy great beautiful sceneries, Rwenzori ranges, Crater Lakes, tea plantation and upon arrival, you will check into the lodge and have lunch.

After lunch you will relax in the lodge and later in the evening, you will go for a game drive where you will be able to view different wildlife species including herds of animals, buffalos, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, warthogs. After the game you will drive into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 05

Morning game drive/lion tracking and afternoon boat cruise.

On the fifth day of the 8th day Uganda Primates tour, you will have your early breakfast and your driver will pick you up from the lodge to for an adventurous game drive or lion racking experience in Kasenyi plains. You will be able to view animals like elephants, buffalos, Uganda Kobs, bush backs, warthogs among others.

After the drive you will drive into a Crater Lake Katwe where you will interact with the locals who earn a living by extracting rock salt from the Crater Lake. Lake Katwe also harbours migratory birds such as flamingo which are commonly seen in October. After boat cruise which may take about 2 hours, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 06

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After your morning breakfast, your driver will pick you up from the lodge and start a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of Gorillas. You will have a stopover at Ishasha centres where you will have a game drive and view the tree climbing lions which will be lying in acacia/fig tree branches. During the game drive, you will be able to view other animals like the buffalos, Uganda Kobs, Elephants, and Hippos among others. After the game drive you will en-route for lunch and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will check in, have dinner and overnight.

DAY 07

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After an early breakfast from your lodge, you will carry a packed lunch and your driver will pick you up from the lodge and transfer you to the Park headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during the trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a group of 8 people and a Park guide who is well conversant with trails in the jungle.

Trekking of Gorilla at Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks takes between 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the Gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to place in search for food.

During trekking you will be able to view other primate species like l’hoest monkeys, chimpanzees, view variety of forest birds, different plant species among others. Once the mountain gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to watch them carry out their daily activities like feeding, breastfeeding, grooming young ones, playing, observe their behaviors, habits, take photos and record the breathtaking moments. After the one hour with the gorillas you will return back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 08

Return to Kampla.

After a relaxing breakfast on your eighth day tour of Uganda's primates, you will check out of the lodge and depart for Kampala. On the way you will have a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and another stopover at the Equator to take photos and buy souvenirs. From the Equator you will proceed to Kampala arriving in the evening and upon arrival you will be dropped off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of convenience.

The tour is rated at $4650 per person.
