Overview Day by Day Itinerary Inclusions

Kidepo Valley National Park lies in the rugged semi-arid valleys between the border of Uganda and South Sudan in the North West just 5km from the Eastern border of Kenya.

The park contains two rivers, Kidepo and Narus which disappears during dry season leaving just pools for the animals.

The park is surrounded by Karimojong pastoralist who is similar to the Masai of Kenya and the IK a hunter gather tribe whose survival is threatened.

The park is an important birding safari in Uganda with about 450 bird species and a dream Ugandan tour for bird watching expedition. It's also famous for harboring tiger, Cheetah, leopards, lions, elephants among others.

DAY 01

Pickup from Airport

On the first day of your safari, you will meet our company representative upon arrival with a pick up to your hotel room for resting in the heart of Kampala City, Uganda’s capital.

DAY 02

Departure from Kampala to Kidepo.

You will wake up for your morning breakfast at the hotel and prepare for a long day trip to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will head in the Northern direction with a stopover for lunch and arrive at the park in the evening. This is a long journey and can take between 8-9 hours. You will have dinner and sleep in either the camp tents or in the lodges and hotels in the park.

DAY 03

Game drive and cultural walk

You will have your early morning breakfast and head into the park for the game drive which will give you a chance to see buffalos, zebras and lions among other wildlife. Cheetahs are also present but they are rarely seen due to their shy nature.

In the afternoon you will return to the lodge for lunch, and then afterwards go for a cultural walk, to the Karimojong at Kidepo and Karema. After interaction and learning their unique culture, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and a night rest.

DAY 04

Transfer back to Kampala.

You will have your early morning breakfast served and set off for a return to Kampala, branch for lunch on the way and then proceed straight to a hotel or the airport for your flight.
